arttttttttttttt

This year I have learned that you really need a concept for your or for it to be successful. I have learned that people perceive art many different ways and what some people think is controversial others do not. Also that lighting change instantly change the mood of a photograph. I have also learned that it is challenging being inspired by this town to make art. I feel like it is a good thing that I will be leaving washington. I am creatively worn out by this place. This year i have really been focusing on portraits and photography. I feel like have become more aware of the human form and the body by all the portraits I have done recently--so this has mane my pictures a little bit more successful. Recently though I feel like my pictures are not as clear as they need to be which is something I need to work on, along with my drawing skills obviously. In three years I will just be starting to really focus on my major in college. At this point in time I am planning on double majoring in photography and graphic design so instead of taking a backseat, art will be ridin shotgun. So far this year I have gotten a lot of help and constructive from my teachers and classmates. I really like to hear what others think about my art or if there is something I need to fix because it is always nice to hear someone else's honest opinion.

  1. Yeah this town artistically wears you out, once you've gone over every concept you can think of while living in washington. It sucks!!!!!!

  2. I love your black and white photography, especially with the lighting and shadows that show up in a lot of your work. I do think that you should do some color photography, maybe for your breadth portfolio? I'd like to see what you come up with. OH, and I think that you are going to be very successful with photography and graphic design!

  3. I couldn't agree with you more in understanding that people have different views of art. I find it a problem believing in myself when some people think my work is very good, while others think its mediocre! I view art in a skillful manner. I look for talent unless someone has such a strong conceptual piece that i blows my mind.
